Lax handling and lack of caution means the 'feeder cockroach' industry might bring business in the form of exotic species infestations to the United States. There's an exploding business, particularly online, in the selling, trading, buying and shipping of what's commonly referred to as "feeder cockroaches" in the United States. What's troubling about this business is people are offering to sell and ship exotic cockroaches to all corners of the planet. A lack of familiarity and understanding about these exotic insects means new infestations could become a new line of business for pest management professionals (PMPs).
