Sinopec's Fu Named Petroleum Executive of the Year

Fu Chengyu, chairman of China's state Sinopec, has become the first head of an Asia-Pacific company to win the title of Energy Intelligence Petroleum Executive of the Year, after being chosen by a jury of his peers.The 2012 award will be presented at a dinner opening the 33rd Annual Oil & Money Conference, which runs from Nov. 12 to 14 in London. Fu was appointed chairman of Sinopec in April 2011 following a lengthy career at China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC), which he had served as president since 2003.
