The technology being developed to ensure remote updating of raster images of electronic charts(EC) via global data transmission networks is considered. Implemented methods are presented that can auto-matically synchronize EC with minimal requirements for the channel capacity. The constructed version of thecontrol system and similar general-purpose software are compared in terms of their efficiency in detecting thedifferences in graphic data for BIG images.
