Tolerances for 2,6-DIPN established; fenamidone tolerance corrected

In the June 1 Federal Register (77 FR 32401), EPA issued a final rule amending §180.590 by establishing tolerances for residues of 2,6-diisopropylnaphthalene (2,6-DIPN) and its metabolites and degradates in or on: 1. fat of cattle, goat, horse and sheep at 0.2 ppm; 2. meat of cattle, goat, horse and sheep at 0.02 ppm; 3. meat byproducts of cattle, horse and sheep at 0.02 ppm; 4. milk, fat at 0.02 ppm; 5. potato, granules/flakes at 5.5 ppm; 6. potato, wet peel at 6.0 ppm; and 7. potato, whole at 2.0 ppm. On May 4, EPA issued a notice announcing that Loveland Products, Inc., Greeley, Colo., had petitioned for several tolerances.
