Italian police bust organic food fraud

Italian police have seized 2,500 metric Ions of grains, fruits and soy products that were falsely labeled as organic. It is alleged that a criminal gang has been exporting non-organic foods declared as wholly organic across Europe. Seven people were arrested in the operation that apparently also has targeted officials in several cities who were responsible for certifying food as organic.
