The use of technology in the pipeline I sector is growing day by day,as traditional industry boundaries are increasingly blurred.Technology developments continue to make pipeline construction less intrusive to communities,as well as improving the safety and efficiency of operations.In some places,there is a near dependence on technology.Pipelines now operate in some of the most gruelling environments in the world,from the deep waters offshore the Gulf of Mexico(GoM)and Brazil,to the frozen wastelands of Alaska and Siberia,traversing all kinds of terrain,including seismically active regions.
