Italy:IEA criticises bureaucratic delays

Administrative hold-ups are standing in the way of improving Italy's gas infrastructure and are preventing indigenous oil and gas production from realising their full potential,according to the International Energy Agency(IEA)*.Inability to access gas infrastructure is a barrier to the entry of new companies into the gas market,the IEA says,while licensing constraints have led to a"continuous decrease in drilling activity"for two decades.
