The Kuito field,ChevronTexaco's first discovery in Block 14,became Angola's first deep-water producer in December 1999.Kuito produces through subsea wellheads to a floating production,storage and offloading(FPSO)vessel moored at a water depth of 385 metres-much less extreme than most of the country's other deep-water finds,but a step-change from previous developments.
