Australia The Western Australia state government has given its approval for the Browse liquefied natural gas (LNG) precinct at James Price Point in north-west Australia. The Woodside-led Browse LNG project is the proposed foundation user of the James Price Point hub. Woodside said the state government had set a number of strict environmental conditions for the development to proceed. The final approval for the precinct will be made by the federal environment minister. Woodside said it will also need to seek further approvals from the state and federal governments to build and operate its 12 million tonne per year (t/y) LNG processing plant within the precinct.
