Iraq:lOCs offered tough upstream terms

THE TERMS of the country's first oil and gas licensing round have been set out.In a presentation to 35 pre-qualified international oil companies(lOCs)in London last month,oil minister Hussein al-Shahristani said the government intends to boost national output by more than 1.5m barrels a day(b/d),through the award of 20-year service contracts.
