ALGERIA can claim to be the home of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The first cargo was super-cooled in the north African country before setting sail for the UK in 1964. And now that increasing demand and improvements in technology and shipping are transforming LNG into a global commodity, Algeria is again deeply involved.
