King Salman bin Abdel-Aziz’s smooth succession removes a veil of uncertainty that has hung over the politi- cal stability of the world’s largest oil exporter. And Riyadh has at last cleared up the question of how the last aged sons of Saudi Arabia’s founder Abdel-Aziz bin Abdel-Aziz al- Saud will finally pass rule to the next generation of princes.
