Total has signed an initial agreement for a crude pipeline to transport production from Uganda’s Lake Albert basin to the Tanzanian port of Tanga. The agreement, signed on 12 October, comes despite an existing pipeline deal between Uganda and Kenya to export crude to the Kenyan port of Lamu.
