Trinidad receives 12 deepwater bids

Trinidad and Tobago has received 12 bids for five out of six deepwater blocks on offer in a bidding round that closed on 4 September. The bidders included Spain’s Repsol, the UK’s BG, Centrica and Cairn Energy, US-based Kosmos Energy, UK-Australian BHP Billiton, Azerbaijan’s state-owned Socar and Caspian Drilling, and local firm Trinity Exploration and Produc- tion.
