Odebrecht venture secures Libra cash

Brazilian engineering firm Odebrecht and New York-listed shipping group Teekay have secured $807mn of financing to build a first production unit for Brazil’s 8bn-12bn bl offshore Libra sub-salt field. The 50,000 b/d Libra Pioneer should begin producing 27°API crude in the second half of next year.
