Regional refinery plans fade

South American oil producers’ambitions to build and expand refineries are fading fast,guaranteeing a future of rising oil products imports,mainly from the US. The continent has produced a number of refinery plans in recent years.Brazil alone planned well over 1mn b/d of new capacity.But a lack of financing and commercial logic has put most of these plans on hold.And the fall in oil prices will probably keep them where they are.
