Israel strikes deal for Leviathan gas

Tel Aviv has reached an agreement with the shareholders of Israel’s 22 trillion ft~3 (620bn m~3) Leviathan offshore gas field. The deal follows a long-running dispute with the antitrust authority over a potential gas market monopoly, which has stalled Leviathan’s development and Israel’s export plans (WPA, 31 July, p9).
