US crude gains on rest of world

US crude gained ground on North Sea Dated,despite a number of factors that might have lent firmer support to the Atlantic basin marker. Crude production disruptions pushed North Sea Dated up by 80￠/bl in the week to 13 February to close at $108.76/bl.And a large stockdraw in the US midcontinent lifted US benchmark WTI by$2.51/bl to$100.35/bl.North Sea Dated’s premium to WTI fell by almost$1.75/bl, despite bullish factors.Protests again disrupted Libyan pro-duction,BP declared force majeure on Angolan Plutonio loadings,a series of delays cut sour Forties loadings,and North Sea shipments are scheduled to fall in March.
