Brazil to auction shale gas blocks

Three of the seven basins to be offered during Brazil’s 12th upstream licensing round are expected to hold significant quantities of shale gas, national petroleum agency ANP says. The Sao Francisco, Reconcavo, and Sergipe-Alagoas basins are home to 156 of the 240 exploration blocks that will be offered during the round on 28-29 November.
