As the energy sphere shifts through the motions of a transitional phase, companies are finding different gears in order to survive and grow. While change is- naturally- inconsistent across markets, it's clear that collaboration between and within firms is a new strategic driver that is found across geographies and sectors. Internally, firms are looking across their supply chains to operate more efficiently, stretching core competencies with the aim of engendering better practice and durability. The distinct, functional unit is a thing of the past, with different management levels encouraging combined working environments in which expertise is shared among groups.
