Ineos makes a move into shale

PETROCHEMICAL company Ineos has outlined plans to pay local communities 6% of revenues from future shale-gas production, bettering earlier compensation pledges made by its peers in the sector and the government. But sections of the UK public remain deeply sceptical of the emerging industry, and of hydraulic fracturing (tracking) in particular.
