Mozambique upstream round closes

Mozambique’s fifth upstream licensing round closed on 30 July. The licensing round will cover 15 exploration blocks, including offshore Rovuma, Zambezi and Angoche, as well as onshore around the Pande-Temane area and Palmeira. Companies that bid for blocks include a consortium of Russian state-controlled oil firm Rosneft and ExxonMobil.
