Ukraine to buy more gas from EU

Ukraine plans to import 40mn m3/d of gas through the EU in August to boost storage injections, energy minister Volodymir Demchishin says. Injections have been limited because Kiev has not had enough cash to pay for EU imports, and state-owned Naftogaz has stopped buying from Russia after the latest pricing dispute between the countries this month (WPA, 3 July, p10).
