Pacific Rubiales OK to boost output

Colombia’s largest independent oil pro- ducer, Canada-based Pacific Rubiales, has obtained an environmental permit that will allow it to boost crude produc- tion at the Rubiales field by over 10pc by the end of this year. The government has granted a permit to increase water injection at the field, paving the way for an estimated 190,000 b/d of output by the end of December, up from 172,000 b/d during the first half of 2012.
