RIL, Delhi still at odds over gas price

Indian private-sector conglomerate Reliance Industries (RIL) is threatening legal action if the government forces it to sell natural gas at old prices for missing production targets. India’s oil ministry has recommended payment of existing gas prices to output from RIL’s older fields, even after wellhead prices are more than doubled from next year. Production from RIL’s new areas will be eligible for revised rates.
