YLNG-Total sale under investigation

Yemen’s public funds prosecutor is investigating the sale of Yemen LNG (YLNG)cargoes to its biggest share-holder Total,according to state-owned news agency Saba.An investigation started two months ago looking into whether Yemen’s LNG sales to Total damaged the country’s interests.Talks between YLNG and Total to revise the long-term contract price began in June last year,along with French gas and power firm GDF Suez and South Korean state-controlled Kogas.Kogas signed an agreement for$14/mn Btu on 30 January,up from$3.15/mn Btu agreed in 2005(WPA,31 January,p8).
