Sudan and South Sudan have agreed a new deal that could prevent a repeat of the crude export disruption that previously shut in South Sudan’s 350,000 b/d crude production for 15 months. Khartoum and Juba have agreed that both sides will stop supporting or harbouring armed rebel groups, which could enable the export of South Sudanese crude through Sudanese infrastructure to continue.
