Sinopec partners European trading firm

Chinese state-controlled oil firm Sin- opec is adding to its global storage and trading operations, partnering European trading firm Mercuria in a joint venture. Sinopec’s Hong Kong-listed affiliate Sinomart is paying ?128.6mn ($167mn) for a 50pc stake in Mercuria’s Vesta Ter- minals, which has 10mn bl of storage capacity at terminals in Antwerp, Bel- gium, Flushing in the Netherlands and Tallinn in Estonia.
