Israeli energy minister Yuval Steinitz has postponed presenting proposed guidelines to parliament for regulating the country’s offshore natural gas fields for the second time in a month. A long-running dispute between the antitrust authority and the government has stalled the development of the 22 trillion ft3 (620bn m3) Leviathan offshore gas field and slowed export plans while the regulator investigated a potential gas market monopoly (WPA, 29 May, p8).
