Statoil exits Mozambique

Norwegian state-controlled Statoil has relinquished exploration licences in Mozambique’s offshore Rovuma basin after disappointing drilling results.Sta-toil was operator for Rovuma blocks 2 and 5 with 40pc stakes in each.Japan’s Inpex and UK-listed Tullow hold 25pc each in both blocks,with Mozam-bique’s state-owned ENH owning the remaining 10pc.
