Kuwait’s $10bn-worth of heavy oil projects will not be derailed by falling crude prices, state-owned oil firm KPC says. KPC chief executive Nizar Mohammed Al-Adsani expects crude to hover around $65/bl until June. The treasury can withstand prices as low as $30/bl, a KPC official says, although Kuwait will start to “feel the pinch” once the fiscal year ends in March, he says.
