Shell extends capital discipline drive

Shell expects its organic capital expenditure (capex) next year to stay in line with this year’s at around $35bn. The firm has not agreed next year’s capex budget but says most of the spending is already committed. “It is part of projects that are already postfinal investment decision. And that is even true for 2016 as well,” chief financial officer Simon Henry says.
