Disruptions limit price falls

Oil prices fell on the prospect of increased supply amid a potential easing in tensions between Iran and the US and hints that US economic stimulus measures could ease. Atlantic basin benchmark North Sea Dated fell by $2.60/bl to $107.47/bl in the week to 8 August but US marker WTI fell further, declining by $4.49/bl to $103.40/ bl. WTI’s discount to North Sea Dated widened to more than $4/bl from around $2/bl a week earlier. North Sea Dat-ed’s premium to Dubai crude rose to almost $4/bl, from $3.50/bl in late July.
