US independent Devon Energy has appointed David Hager as chief oper- ating officer. He has been Devon’s vice- president of exploration and production since 2009. Devon has appointed Tony Vaughn as executive vice-president for exploration and production. Canadian independent producer Encana has appointed former BP execu- tive Doug Suttles as president and chief executive. He will take over from interim chief executive ClaytonWoitas.
