Nigeria’s Mend claims attacks

Nigerian rebel group the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (Mend) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on oil and gas pipelines in the country and warns that it may target offshore operations. Mend said on 21 October that its operatives have damaged the Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP) and other feed pipelines.
