摘要

The first supplies of crude from South Sudan will reach Sudan for export by the end of May, officials from both countries said on 4 April. South Sudan’s production and exports of up to 350,000 b/d have been suspended for 15 months because of a dispute over transport tariffs to be paid for its crude to be exported through Sudan’s pipelines and port infrastructure. The face-off led to hostilities between the two countries in April last year. But a deal over border issues last month laid the groundwork for resuming transit of South Sudan’s crude through Sudan (WPA, 15 March, p9).
