Production stays high before Vienna meeting

Opec production was only marginally lower in October despite a drop in oil prices and talk of an oil price war. Output fell by 120,000 b/d to just over 30.6mn b/d, but remains about 600,000 b/d above the production ceiling (see table). Members show few signs of curbing output before Opec’s Vienna meeting on 27 November, despite falling prices.
