The new leadership of Kuwait’s oil industry is optimistic that it can ease the sector through the political minefield that has blocked ambitious growth plans for years. Kuwait hosted its first major industry event this week since the overhaul of senior management at state-owned oil company KPC and the oil ministry in May. The management says it is opening a new chapter for Kuwait’s oil sector, raising hopes that much delayed upstream and downstream projects will finally get off the ground.
