President Barack Obama is renewing his call for the US to address climate change. But Obama’s decision on the progress of the proposed Keystone XL crude pipeline could be the next test for his environmental legacy. Obama used his second inaugural address on 21 January to resurrect the climate policy debate, an issue he largely sidestepped during his presidential campaign.
