UK independent Premier Oil expects to take over as operator of the Sea Lion development offshore the Falkland islands (Islas Malvinas) in the fourth quarter after agreeing a $1bn farm-in deal with UK upstream independent Rockhopper. Sea Lion and adjacent dis- coveries contain an estimated 386mn bl of contingent resources.
