摘要

A deepening row between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) of Iraq’s semi-autonomous northern region and UAE-based Dana Gas highlights growing risk for independents in the region. Dana, an affiliate of the UAE’s Crescent Petroleum, this week started arbitration proceedings in the UK against the KRG. Dana is seeking cost recovery payments it says it is owed by Erbil for production from the Khor Mor field since 2008, and to clarify contractual rights to develop and market its reserves and those of the Chemchemal field.
