Abu Dhabi is looking at squeezing more out of its gas fields to meet long-term demand growth. The emirate’s gas pro- duction will rise by a quarter to 7.5bn ft3/d (77bn m3/yr) in the next two years as two giant projects come on stream (WPA, 7 September, p7). But more needs to be done to keep up with seasonal demand during the summer, which is expected to reach 15bn ft3/d by the end of this decade, up from 7.2bn ft3/d this year.
