NOC and central bank back new Tripoli government

Libyan state-owned NOC and the country’s central bank say they recognise as legitimate the new Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA). The UN brokered the creation of the GNA, which was formed in February and arrived in Tripoli on 30 March. But it has yet to put forward new energy policies, NOC says. The GNA has not been ratified by the Tobruk-based parliament that has backed the internationally recognised Tobruk and Bayda-based government led by prime minister Abdullah al-Thinni since 2014.
