Moscow mulls new Rosneft sale option

Russia is considering a convertible bonds placement as an option for a proposed partial privatisation of state-controlled Rosneft. That such an option is on the table suggests that Moscow accepts that it has little chance of directly selling a 19.5pc stake in the firm for what it considers a reasonable price, analysts say. Finance minister Anton Siluanov last month suggested a convertible bonds placement as one way to offload state assets.
