Gazprom rethinks South Stream

Russia's state-controlled Gazprom plans to build two 15.75bn m3/yr subsea legs of its South Stream pipeline simultaneously, chief executive Alexei Miller says. The firm had planned to build a single 15.75bn m3/yr line under the Black Sea first, adding another three proposed legs successively, with a view to hitting the sub-sea section's full 63bn m3/yr capacity by 2019-20.
