A US Supreme Court decision delaying the implementation of President Barack Obama’s Clean Power Plan (CPP) to reduce CO2 emissions from power plants will not scuttle the recent UN climate agreement reached in Paris, the White House says. The court on 9 February granted requests from dozens of states, utilities and industry groups to postpone enforcement of the CPP until lawsuits filed against the regulation can be decided.
