Oil prices reached 17-month highs after non-Opec countries agreed to join Opec in cutting crude production in the first half of next year. Atlantic basin benchmark North Sea Dated rose to $54.15/bl on 12 December-its highest since July last year-before falling back to $52.19/bl on 15 December, which was still 23¢/bl higher than a week earlier. US light sweet marker WTI gained 6¢/bl to $50.90/bl, after it also hit a 17-month high earlier in the week, of $52.98/bl.
