Pemex urged to head for the shallows

Shallow-water fields off the coast of southeast Mexico remain profitable for state-owned Pemex, but this is not the case in the onshore Chicontepec region or in many of the deepwater oil fields that Pemex may develop, according to a technical paper published by Mexican hydrocarbons commission CNH.
