摘要

Spain's Repsol is "unlikely" to drill another exploration well offshore Cuba following its decision to cap and abandon a first well in the Jaguey prospect. The company's partners include India's state-controlled ONGC and Norway's state-controlled Statoil. The Scarabeo 9 rig that Repsol used is now in the hands of Malaysia's state-owned Petronas and Russia's Gazpromneft to drill the Catoche prospect. Cuban state-owned Cupet had scheduled five deepwater wells into the middle of 2013 before Repsol decided against a second try.
