ExxonMobil increases InterOil bid

ExxonMobil has amended its takeover bid for Papua New Guinea (PNG)-focused US independent InterOil as it tries to secure approval by the end of March. ExxonMobil has increased the maximum certified resource that it will pay for at PNG's Elk-Antelope fields to 11 trillion ft3 (311.5bn m3) from 10 trillion ft3, potentially adding $7.07/share to the asking price.
